50 % of the rooms in Aalborg in the North of Denmark are eco-labeled
With the Green Key Labeling of Kompas Hotel in Aalborg, now 50% of the rooms in Aalborg are eco-labeled
Kompas Aalborg Hotel joins a number of green hotels in the city, when they got their Green Key Label at the turn of the year.
The former sailor home has just been restored, and energy - and environmentally improved with a new reception area and an expansion of the number of rooms to 111.
The hotel joins a number of other Green Key hotels in the city, i.a. the neighboring First Hotel Aalborg, Comwells hotel iconic White House building, which was completely restored when it was acquired, and Radisson Limfjorden which has also has been through a larger environmental facelift.
The four Green Key hotels have in total 651 rooms, and together with the two Scandic Hotels in town, there are 819 eco-labeled rooms in Aalborg, equivalent to 51% of the rooms in town, or 1/3 of the hotels.
Scandic Aalborg Øst and Scandic Aalborg City are Svanen labeled. Last-mentioned was Green Key labeled under the name First Hotel Europa, and became Svanen labeled when Scandic took over. In the fall of 2017, Aalborg Kongres and Kultur Center was ISO 20121 certified regarding sustainable events.
